In a landmark move to accelerate digital asset adoption, Nigerian citizens can now access an exclusive allocation of ERC-20 based BLUM tokens via the official claim portal. The initiative — designed to complement the Central Bank’s fintech agenda — enables eligible users to connect a supported wallet and receive 50,000 BLUM directly, with zero gas fees. The distribution process has already begun and can be completed in under one minute at the Blum airdrop portal.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has green-lit a pilot with TON-based start-up Blum, paving the way for everyday Nigerians to receive a free 50,000 BLUM allocation straight into their mobile wallets.
Speaking exclusively to The Guardian, Acting Director of Payments Dr Ahmed Abubakar said the scheme “will deepen financial inclusion and position Nigeria as Africa’s digital-asset hub.”
Claiming the tokens requires no prior registration. Users simply visit the portal , connect a compatible wallet — such as MetaMask for Ethereum or TON Keeper for cross-chain support — and authorize the claim. Within moments, the airdrop is credited and viewable directly in the wallet interface.
